Developments: 4. Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Yasin Ayari has gained significant attention following a strong start to his career. His performances, including a goal in a 5-0 win against Coventry City, led former striker Bobby Zamora to describe him as having ‘really huge talent’. As Ayari enters the final year of his contract, which expires in June 2027, interest from major clubs has intensified. AC Milan has been monitoring the Swedish midfielder since early 2025, reportedly targeting him as a potential long-term replacement for Luka Modrić ahead of the 2027/28 season. Interest has since expanded to include several Premier League giants, specifically Manchester United and Arsenal. Other high-profile clubs linked to the 23-year-old include Atlético Madrid, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Galatasaray. While Brighton holds an option to extend Ayari’s contract by one year, the club has reportedly valued the player between €40 million and €60 million. Recent reports indicate that contract negotiations between Ayari and Brighton have stalled. This development has seen Chelsea join Galatasaray in the pursuit of the Swedish international. Although Brighton possesses a clause to extend his current deal by 12 months, the club has not yet activated it, potentially opening a window for rival clubs to pursue a transfer. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-20: Chelsea and other clubs monitor Brighton and Strasbourg talents Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United are monitoring Brighton's Yasin Ayari amid contract stalls, while also eyeing Strasbourg winger Gessime Yassine and Bournemouth's Alex Scott. 11 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/chelsea-monitoring-strasbourg-winger-and-brighton-midfielder ### 2026-10-20: Yasin Ayari attracts interest from Premier League giants Brighton midfielder Yasin Ayari is being monitored by Manchester United and Arsenal as his contract approaches its final years. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/yasin-ayari-attracts-interest-from-premier-league-giants ### 2026-10-03: AC Milan targets Brighton midfielder Yasin Ayari AC Milan is reportedly eyeing Brighton midfielder Yasin Ayari as a potential successor to Luka Modrić, with Brighton seeking around €40 million for the player. 4 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/ac-milan-targets-brighton-midfielder-yasin-ayari ### 2026-09-24: Yasin Ayari attracts interest following strong Brighton start Brighton midfielder Yasin Ayari is attracting transfer interest following strong early-season form, with former player Bobby Zamora praising his talent and potential. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/yasin-ayari-attracts-interest-following-strong-brighton-start --- Cite as: Transfer interest in Yasin Ayari.
