Transport disruptions in Hungary have escalated from systemic punctuality issues to specific accidents. Earlier reports indicated significant delays across several lines, including the Győr, Debrecen, and Szolnok routes, with punctuality on the Szolnok line falling as low as 51.51 percent due to extreme weather and infrastructure damage.

More recent incidents have caused localized disruptions, including a car collision in Jászfényszar that restricted road traffic. Additionally, a collision between a Nyírség-Kraszna InterCity train and a small truck at the Rákos railway crossing has limited rail traffic between Rákos and Rákoshegy to a single track.
