Transportation providers are expanding connectivity to and from the Republic of Moldova through new air and land routes.

In early September, FLYONE România announced plans to enter the Moldovan market by launching a direct flight route between Chișinău and Lisbon. Scheduled to begin on October 3, 2026, the service will operate twice weekly using Airbus A320 aircraft. This initiative is characterized as the “first phase of the airline’s expansion strategy in Moldova.”

Concurrently, FlixBus expanded regional mobility by launching a direct bus connection between Bucharest and Chișinău on September 12. This service, established through a partnership with local carrier Gal Trans, provides two daily trips in each direction and includes a stop at Henri Coandă International Airport. This development marks the first direct link between FlixBus and a local Moldovan partner, moving beyond previous connections operated via Ukrainian partners.
