Developments: 2. The Regional Electoral Court of Piauí (TRE-PI) is implementing various preparedness measures for the 2026 elections. Initial efforts focused on the ‘Salve’ action plan, which involves emergency medical training conducted through the Health Assistance Advisory (ASAS). This training, led by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU), prepares judicial police, intelligence staff, and accessibility coordinators to handle medical emergencies such as seizures, choking, and strokes using newly acquired defibrillators. As preparations continue, the TRE-PI has established operational goals and security coordination strategies. President Judge José Wilson Ferreira de Araújo Júnior has set a target to release official election results by 9:30 PM on election night. The court plans to utilize 11,000 electronic voting machines for governor, senator, and legislative contests. To maintain public order, the TRE-PI is coordinating with the Brazilian Army, Federal Police, Federal Highway Police, and various state and municipal agencies to integrate security operations with the Electoral Justice system. ## Timeline ### 2026-09-30: TRE-PI sets 2026 election result goals and security strategies TRE-PI aims to release 2026 election results in Piauí by 9:30 PM on election night while coordinating with security forces, including the Brazilian Army, to ensure public order. 5 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/tre-pi-sets-2026-election-result-goals-and-security-strategies ### 2026-09-15: TRE-PI conducts emergency medical training for election safety The Regional Electoral Court of Piauí is training judicial police and staff in emergency medical response to ensure safety at polling stations during elections. 4 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/tre-pi-conducts-emergency-medical-training-for-election-safety --- Cite as: TRE-PI 2026 election preparedness.
