The city of Trikala is proceeding with urban redevelopment efforts on Karditsis Street as part of the ‘Urban Redevelopment in the City of Trikala – Sub-project 3’ initiative. 

Funded by the European Recovery Fund with a budget of €1,800,000, the project is being implemented by Heron S.A. The works aim to enhance safety and mobility for pedestrians and drivers through the creation of sidewalks, the installation of ramps for people with disabilities, and the implementation of new LED lighting systems with remote central control. The project also includes greenery installations and measures to prevent vehicle access to sidewalks and bike paths. This initiative serves as the second phase of a larger plan to remodel the southern entrance of the city.
