Kalypso Media and Gaming Minds Studios announced the upcoming release of Tropico 7, a nation-management simulation scheduled for late January 2027. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, with day-one availability on Xbox Game Pass.

Initial announcements highlighted new gameplay mechanics, including a physical terraforming system that allows players to reshape island geography by leveling mountains or reclaiming land. The game also introduces a parliamentary system requiring players to manage political factions through negotiation or force.

A subsequent story trailer provided further narrative details, following the rise of El Presidente from a colonial governor to a powerful ruler. The campaign features a new antagonist, Victoria Guerra, and the return of the advisor Penultimo. The game is expected to include five campaigns, over ten scenarios, and more than twenty sandbox maps.
