The Trump Tower Tbilisi project was officially launched as part of the $2 billion Downtown Tbilisi development. The planned 62-story, 282-meter-high skyscraper is intended to be the tallest building in Georgia and is expected to be completed by 2031.

The project involves licensing the Trump Organization brand to a group of local and international developers, including Archi Group, Invia group, Finvest Georgia, Blox Group, and the New York-based Sapir Organization. The development aims to establish a premium district featuring luxury residences, hotels, and commercial spaces to attract international investment to the Caucasus region.

Reports note that the project is being developed on land purchased from a fund linked to US-sanctioned billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili. The launch ceremony was attended by Georgian Dream leaders, including Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, and included remote remarks from Eric Trump.
