In late September, the Governor expressed support for political dialogue to strengthen provincial management and the Justicialist Party. During meetings with legislators, discussions centered on a reported decrease in the poverty index in Greater Tucumán and the potential for the sugar-alcohol industry to stimulate job creation through a proposed increase in the mandatory bioethanol blend. By mid-October, the focus shifted toward infrastructure and employment. Jaldo met with construction industry leaders to review the progress of public works, including the Tucumán Airport and Procrear housing developments. Industry representatives noted that certain projects are being sustained by provincial funds due to difficulties in receiving national transfers, highlighting a need for regularized national funding to prevent job losses in the construction sector. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-14: Tucumán Governor meets construction leaders to discuss public works Tucumán Governor Osvaldo Jaldo met with construction leaders to discuss public works progress, funding regularizations, and employment stability amid reliance on provincial resources. 15 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/hermosillo-inaugurates-solhara-sustainable-housing-development ### 2026-09-25: Tucumán Governor Osvaldo Jaldo discusses political dialogue and provincial industry Tucumán Governor Osvaldo Jaldo discussed political dialogue, poverty reduction, and the future of the bioethanol industry during meetings with local leaders and legislators. 6 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/tucumn-governor-osvaldo-jaldo-discusses-political-dialogue-and-provincial-industry --- Cite as: Tucumán provincial governance and economic management.
