The municipal government of Tulancingo has launched several initiatives targeting public security, indigenous rights, and economic development. 

To enhance security, the city has implemented the ‘Mando Coordinado’ strategy, utilizing drones, new police equipment, and 1,100 monitored cameras, which has led to vehicle recoveries and arrests. Regarding social rights, the city is hosting a Regional Dialogue Forum on Indigenous Matters to protect the political-electoral rights of indigenous communities. 

For economic development, the municipality is establishing the ‘Paseo Artesanal de Tulancingo,’ a 2-million-peso project designed to support local artisans. The project specifically prohibits the resale of Asian-made merchandise to protect local talent, with revenues intended to fund social welfare programs through the Municipal DIF.
