Club Sportif Sfaxien began their Tunisian Division 1 campaign with a 2-1 victory over Zarzis, a win that placed them fourth in the standings. Following this domestic match, the team participated in the CAF Confederation Cup, securing a 2-0 win against Shooting Stars in Nigeria.

Due to these continental commitments, several Tunisian Ligue 1 fixtures were rescheduled. This included a matchday three fixture where US Ben Guerdane was set to host Club Sportif Sfaxien. Additionally, Espérance Sportive de Zarzis was required to play their home match against US Monastirienne at the Mustapha Douri Stadium in Djerba because their home complex, Abdessalem Kazouz, was unavailable.
