Italy’s performance was marked by goals from Alessandro Bastoni (9th minute), Davide Frattesi (22nd minute), Michael Kayode (27th minute), and Francesco Pio Esposito (50th minute). Kayode’s goal arrived during his international debut. Turkey managed a single consolation goal from Barış Alper Yılmaz in the 47th minute, but the Italian side maintained control throughout the match, which was played under heavy rain. The victory marks Roberto Mancini’s first win in his second tenure as Italy's head coach. The Italian squad showed significant improvement in tactical cohesion and defensive solidity compared to their previous outing, utilizing a young attacking lineup that included both Sebastiano and Francesco Pio Esposito as starters. This win moves Italy to three points in the group. For Turkey, the defeat leaves them at the bottom of the group with zero points after two matches. The match followed significant squad challenges for Turkey, which played without Hakan Çalhanoğlu, goalkeeper Uğurcan Çakır, and Kenan Yıldız, the latter of whom was sidelined due to a metatarsal fracture. Turkish manager Vincenzo Montella noted the team's struggle to compete at this level following the loss. Following subsequent results in Group A, where France defeated Belgium 1-0 via an 88th-minute goal by Michael Olise, France leads the group with six points.
