Growers Necmettin Güven and Arif Güven highlighted the abundance of fruit alongside the difficulty of finding buyers, while producer Cihan Özer warned that production costs are rising each year. In Tekirdağ’s Süleymanpaşa district, Agriculture and Forestry Director Mehmet Aksoy reported ongoing field inspections and pest‑control measures, expecting the produce to reach markets quickly. In eastern Muş Ovası, officials project a harvest of roughly 198,000 tons of watermelon, which could add around 2.1 billion TL to the regional economy. Further north, drone footage from Kars’ Sarıkamış district shows extensive grain and legume fields benefitting from a rainy season, with farmers anticipating a strong yield.
