Turkey is diversifying its medical tourism sector by expanding from traditional aesthetic procedures, such as hair transplants, into the emerging longevity and wellness industry. While the country currently performs approximately 80 hair transplant operations daily, new investments are targeting long-term health services. A central development in this shift is the announcement of Well World, a €250 million healthy aging and longevity complex to be built in the Şile district near Istanbul. Owned by the Tundjer family, the 750,000-square-meter project is designed as a hybrid of a clinic, club, and residences. The development will be executed in phases, beginning with a medical center offering genetic testing and personalized health strategies. Subsequent phases will include residential spaces and social club areas, with accommodations expected to be available starting October 29, 2028. The initiative aims to capture international demand for advanced aging-related medical programs by providing preventative and personalized services. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-20: Turkey expands medical tourism into longevity industry Turkey is pivoting its medical tourism industry from aesthetic procedures toward a growing longevity sector, including a planned €250 million wellness complex near Istanbul. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/turkey-expands-medical-tourism-into-longevity-industry ### 2026-10-19: Well World longevity complex to be built near Istanbul The Tundjer family is investing 250 million euros to build Well World, a longevity and healthy aging complex in Şile, near Istanbul, combining medical services, residences, and social clubs. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/well-world-longevity-complex-to-be-built-near-istanbul --- Cite as: Turkey longevity and medical tourism expansion.
