In late July, Konya provincial authorities held a free community event for children of seasonal farm‑worker families and increased inspections of feed‑crop fields to verify proper use of agricultural subsidies.

A week later, Ankara and Istanbul municipalities launched broader health and harvest initiatives. Ankara, in partnership with a neighbouring district, provided occupational‑safety training, first‑aid instruction, mobile showers, hygiene kits and health screenings, while Istanbul staged a harvest festival that distributed millions of vegetable seedlings, cash subsidies for inputs and a sizable 2024 budget allocation.

In early August, these programs expanded. Ankara’s health and culture gathering in the Karabük neighbourhood added pesticide‑safety briefings, multilingual workshops, a trailer‑mounted cinema and toys for children, alongside mobile medical teams screening for dehydration, heat‑stroke and respiratory issues. Istanbul’s harvest festival at the Çatalca Closed Market reported support for over 10,800 agricultural producers, the distribution of more than 70 million vegetable seedlings, cash subsidies totalling 667 million lira for fuel and fertilizer, and a 300 million‑lira budget for 2024.

By late August, health-focused outreach extended to the Samsun province. In the Çarşamba district, health authorities conducted screenings for approximately 350 seasonal workers in the Durakbaşı neighbourhood. Medical teams performed blood sugar tests, height and weight measurements, and carbon monoxide testing, while providing information on nutrition and cancer screenings. Dr. Kübra Gündüz Cebeci, the Çarşamba District Health Director, noted the goal was to bring services directly to citizens to ensure they can “act more consciously regarding their own well-being.”
