Turkey and Sudan have initiated efforts to strengthen bilateral educational ties through high-level diplomatic and academic cooperation.

Following meetings between Turkish National Education Minister Yusuf Tekin and Sudanese Education Minister Tuhami El-Zain Hajar, both nations expressed intent to formalize relations via a memorandum of understanding. Initial discussions focused on vocational and technical training, teacher training, digital infrastructure reconstruction, and the establishment of Turkish language courses.

This cooperation progressed to a formal framework protocol signed between Anadolu University and the Republic of Sudan. Under this agreement, Anadolu University will provide academic content, digital resources, and assessment support for Turkish language instruction within Sudan’s National Languages Center (SENSEL-SELTI), while also assisting in the training of local Sudanese educators.
