Aksa Kompozit, a subsidiary of the Turkish Akkök Holding group, has announced a $5 million investment to establish an advanced composite manufacturing facility in Tunisia. Located at the Borj Cedria Technopole, the new entity, Aksa Tunisie Aéronautique, will occupy approximately 3,000 square meters of indoor space.

The facility will focus on producing advanced composite parts, molds, and assembly for the aerospace sector, with additional capabilities for metal machining, heat treatment, and surface treatment. This project marks the company’s first expansion into Africa and the first time a Turkish aerospace actor has established a presence in Tunisia.

The initiative follows coordination with Tunisian entities such as FIPA-Tunisia and the Tunisian Association of Aerospace and Space Industries (GITAS). The company aims to begin operations by 2028, with the project expected to facilitate technology transfer and local skill development within Tunisia’s aerospace value chain.
