# Turkish disaster awareness and volunteerism education

The Turkish Ministry of National Education and the Turkish Red Crescent have launched initiatives to improve disaster awareness and social responsibility among youth through educational programs.

Initially, a joint workshop was organized to develop a guide for integrating game-based disaster management training into preschool and primary school curricula. This initiative aimed to use pedagogical games to help children recognize environmental risks and develop safe behavior reflexes. 

Following this, training programs were implemented in Erzincan, where students received instruction on Red Crescent principles, humanitarian aid, and disaster intervention processes to encourage volunteerism and social solidarity.
