Educational foundations in Turkey continue to expand support for university students. The Türkiye Diyanet Vakfı (TDV) has commenced dormitory applications for the upcoming academic year. Operating 48 dormitory buildings across 30 provinces, TDV provides housing, cultural activities, and social development programs for over 10,000 students. For the 2025-2026 academic year, the foundation is supporting 8,065 students through 22 different programs, comprising 4,308 domestic and 3,757 international scholars from 114 countries. To date, TDV’s scholarship programs have produced 17,064 graduates.

In Istanbul, the İstanbul Vakfı has launched the ‘Sen Oku Biz Yanındayız’ (You Study, We Are With You) campaign to assist female students relocating to the city. Approved by the Istanbul Governorship, the initiative provides housing, education, book scholarships, and integration programs. The campaign follows research involving 417 young women which identified critical needs regarding housing, security, and social participation, noting that 90% of surveyed students live on 20,000 TL or less per month, excluding housing costs. While 60% of participants expressed a desire to remain in Istanbul after graduation, only 36% believe they will find employment there.

The campaign’s fundraising efforts officially began with the ‘Şarkılarla İstanbul'da Yanındayız’ concert at the Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open Air Theatre. The event featured 16 female artists performing voluntarily and was attended by various political figures, including Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Nuri Aslan.
