Various literary honors and festivals have been highlighted in Turkey. In Eskişehir, Latife Tekin was named the recipient of the 2026 City Literature Award, to be presented during the International Eskişehir Yunus Emre Literature Festival in October. Additionally, in the Enez district of Edirne, winners Anıl Topçu and Ebru Asya were recognized in the National Enez Short Story Competition, alongside the launch of the book ‘Öykülerle, Anılarla Enez’.

Following these events, the 2026 Erdal Öz Literary Awards announced their winners, noting a structural change to the awards which have been presented since 2008.
