Municipalities in Turkey are implementing various workshops aimed at supporting early childhood development and parent-child bonding.

In Mersin, the Metropolitan Municipality’s Department of Women and Family Services conducts ‘Play Workshops’ at Silifke and Huzurkent Child Campuses. These weekly sessions for children aged 1 to 4 focus on enhancing social, communicative, and psychomotor skills through play-based learning. The program involves mothers in the process, transitioning them from observers to active participants to help strengthen the mother-child bond.

In Bursa, the Osmangazi Municipality organized a ‘Read With Them’ workshop as part of the Osmangazi95 Project. Conducted in collaboration with the Marmara Municipalities Union and the Local Government Academy, this initiative targets children in the 0-3 age group. The session focused on fostering early reading habits and using books as tools for discovery and play.
