Municipal theatre groups in Turkey have engaged in various cultural productions and recognitions. In Gaziantep, the Metropolitan Municipality City Theatre hosted a ‘Street Theater Festival’ in the historic Bey Mahallesi from September 4 to 6. The event featured the production ‘Bey Mahallesi Öyküleri’ (Bey Mahallesi Stories), which utilized the neighborhood's streets to explore local history and collective memory through stories such as ‘Kiraz’ and ‘Eski Sinema Sokağı / Nakıp Ali’.

Separately, the Düzce Municipality City Theatre was selected to perform at the 14th International Izmir Theatre Festival. Their production, ‘Bugün Git Yarın Gel’, was chosen as one of the top 30 plays from 849 international and domestic applicants.
