Municipalities in Turkey have initiated various drinking water infrastructure projects to address local supply needs.

In Gaziantep, the Metropolitan Municipality launched the 60 million TL Arıkdere Drinking Water Project in the Karkamış district. This project uses a 16.5-kilometer pipeline to transport water from the Euphrates River to seven rural neighborhoods, benefiting approximately 5,000 residents. A second phase is currently underway to extend services to additional neighborhoods.

In Trabzon, the Metropolitan Municipality, via the TİSKİ General Directorate, began constructing an 11,000-meter pipeline in the Şalpazarı district. This initiative targets the Kuzuluk and Gökçeköy neighborhoods to strengthen infrastructure and resolve supply issues, following similar works in the Düzköy and Vakfıkebir districts.
