Turkish municipalities are conducting various educational initiatives to promote zero waste and environmental sustainability.

In Bodrum, the municipality launched a domestic composting training program for women focused on the Bokashi method for processing organic kitchen waste. As part of its status as a Zero Waste Pilot District, the program provided participants with compost bucket sets to encourage household implementation.

Other regional efforts include compost training for nursery students in Seyhan to teach children how food waste nourishes soil, and zero waste training in İnegöl, Bursa. The latter utilized digital methods, such as QR codes, alongside practical workshops like candle making and recycling demonstrations to increase public awareness of resource efficiency.
