President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has inspected the expansion and modernization of the Arçman sanatorium in the Bäherden district of Turkmenistan’s Ahal region. The project involves constructing a new 400-seat building and upgrading existing structures to include a dining hall, a 300-seat conference hall, a phytobary, a tea house, and mineral water facilities.

The initiative is part of a state policy to leverage the nation’s mineral water resources to establish Turkmenistan as an international center for sanatorium-based treatment. To support this, the President has called for the scientific study of medicinal water sources, the integration of digital technologies into medical processes, and the improvement of professional qualifications for medical staff. The complex is scheduled to open in conjunction with Health and Pharmaceutical Industry Workers’ Day.
