The Municipality of Pisa has opened online applications for municipal nursery schools for children born between May 1 and October 31, 2026. The application deadline is November 10, 2026, at 12:00 PM, requiring digital identification such as SPID, CIE, or CNS. Enrollment begins in January 2027 for children who have reached three months of age.

Concurrently, the Tuscany region has reopened applications for the ‘Nidi Gratis’ program from October 12 to October 26, 2026. This initiative provides subsidies to reduce or eliminate costs for early childhood educational services—including nursery schools, play spaces, and home-based services—for families with an ISEE up to 40,000 euros. For the 2026/2027 academic year, the program has processed 14,236 requests, amounting to approximately 38.6 million euros in regional discounts.

Additionally, the municipality of Montelupo Fiorentino has secured over 40,542 euros through the ‘Nidi di Qualità’ regional call. Funded by the Tuscany Region and the European Social Fund Plus 2021-2027, these resources are intended to improve the quality of educational services for children aged 3 to 36 months and support work-life balance.
