Tourism projections for the 2026 season indicate a 0.8% growth, with an estimated 27.5 million overnight stays. This expansion is largely driven by international visitors. While mountain destinations saw a 4.9% increase in stays, art cities and thermal resorts experienced slight declines. Regional Councilor for Economy and Tourism Leonardo Marras noted that while the data is positive, the growth is “not uniform.”
