TV Globo is preparing to premiere the new six o’clock telenovela ‘Lá na Minha Terra’, written by Mario Teixeira and directed by Allan Fiterman. The plot focuses on the Madeira family in the fictional town of Lavra Seca, centered on Rosenda Madeira (played by Dira Paes), a cattle rancher who has raised five children alone following the disappearance of her husband, Severino, over 15 years ago.

New details reveal that Severino (Daniel de Oliveira) actually moved to São Paulo, where he became a successful businessman named Cesário Ávila. He abandoned his former identity and family, building a life complicated by his relationship with Ismália (Camila Morgado), a woman who helped him navigate high society. Rosenda eventually decides to travel to São Paulo to seek answers regarding his disappearance.

The story also follows Rosenda’s five children: Maria Lina, a brave goat herder; Damaso, a skilled but difficult cowboy; Brícia, Dodô, and Águeda. Additional cast members include Gustavo Falcão as Josias Peixoto, a resourceful character seeking profit through various schemes, and Lilia Cabral as the opportunistic Celestina.

Recent casting updates have added Mateus Solano as Almerindo Mourão, a wealthy cattle rancher in Lavra Seca, and Leticia Vieira as Dindim, a hardworking young woman. Débora Nascimento returns to telenovelas after a seven-year hiatus to play Delfina, a character involved in a complex relationship and an extramarital affair with Cesário. The production, which connects the rural sertão to urban São Paulo, is scheduled to premiere on November 9.
