TV Globo has announced new programming additions for its afternoon slots. In early October, the network scheduled the re-airing of the classic 1985 telenovela ‘Roque Santeiro’ as part of its ‘Edição Especial’ lineup. The series, a satire set in the fictional town of Asa Branca, explores the social and political disruption caused by the unexpected return of a man believed to be a deceased hero.

Additionally, the network scheduled the broadcast of the 2025 Brazilian film ‘A Revolução da TV’ during its ‘Sessão da Tarde’ programming. The drama-comedy follows a young woman attempting to save her community’s access to public television broadcasts after a local decree threatens the town’s connection to the medium.
