TÜV SÜD has launched a Global Decarbonisation Centre of Excellence in Singapore. The facility is intended to bolster infrastructure for carbon market integrity and speed up digital carbon verification.

This move follows the company’s acquisition of SustainCERT, a Luxembourg-based body specializing in digital Measurement, Reporting, and Verification. By combining digital innovation with its certification expertise, the company seeks to support global carbon markets in accordance with Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. CEO Patrick Vollmer noted the center aims to provide governments and investors with “credible, transparent, and independently assured emissions reduction data” to facilitate decarbonization efforts in Asia and worldwide.
