The United Arab Emirates has initiated a strategic roadmap for the development of 6G technology. The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) announced plans to integrate 6G into the nation’s digital infrastructure, building upon existing 5G coverage. Early trials in the 6 GHz band have already demonstrated speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second.

Following these strategic outlines, ZTE Corporation and du successfully launched the world’s first commercial end-to-end Upper 6 GHz connectivity on a live 5G-Advanced network in the UAE. This deployment utilizes ZTE’s GigaMIMO technology to enhance network capacity and coverage, marking a practical step toward the country’s long-term 6G objectives.
