The United Arab Emirates has reported significant growth in its non-oil foreign trade sector. During the 15th Annual Investment Meeting in Dubai, officials stated that non-oil foreign trade exceeded AED 1.9 trillion ($517.4 billion) in the first half of 2026. The nation also attracted $48.3 billion in foreign direct investment in 2025.

Following its accession as a full member of BRICS in January 2024, the UAE has strengthened its economic ties within the bloc. Non-oil trade between the UAE and BRICS nations rose to $312 billion in 2025, a 28.5 percent increase from the previous year. BRICS members now account for approximately 31 percent of the UAE’s total non-oil foreign trade, with China and India serving as the primary trading partners.
