In an early October matchup, UAPB defeated Southern University 41-10 at A. W. Mumford Stadium. The victory was driven by special teams performance, including running back Jalen Williams, who contributed 17 points through three kickoff returns totaling 167 yards. Following the game, Southern University head coach Marshall Faulk noted that the team's effort did not meet program standards, suggesting players had ‘tapped out’. Later in the month, UAPB achieved an upset victory against Florida A&M University (FAMU), winning 31-28 at Bragg Memorial Stadium. Despite the absence of starting quarterback Garrison Davis due to a leg injury, the Golden Lions utilized a rushing attack that totaled 211 yards. While FAMU quarterback Armand Parker recorded 376 total yards and three touchdowns, UAPB maintained momentum in the third quarter to secure the win. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-24: UAPB defeats Florida A&M 31-28 in homecoming upset The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff spoiled Florida A&M's homecoming with a 31-28 victory, driven by a balanced rushing attack and a decisive third-quarter surge. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/uapb-defeats-florida-am-31-28-in-homecoming-upset ### 2026-10-04: UAPB defeats Southern University 41-10 in homecoming football game UAPB defeated Southern University 41-10 in a homecoming football game, fueled by Jalen Williams' 167 kickoff return yards.
