Oostende, Belgium, is preparing to host the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships, scheduled for January 29 to 31, 2027. Organized by Flanders Classics and Toerisme Oostende, the event marks the return of the championships to the coastal city after a restricted 2021 edition that was held without spectators due to the pandemic.

The upcoming championships will feature a 3.4-kilometer course designed to showcase the city skyline, the casino, the dike, and the beach. Unlike the previous event, the 2027 program is expected to include a full sporting program, junior competitions, and tens of thousands of spectators. UCI President David Lappartient noted that the presence of a live audience is intended to provide a significantly different atmosphere and enhance international visibility.
