Lecce secured a dominant 3-0 away victory against Udinese at the Bluenergy Stadium, marking Lecce’s third win of the season and Udinese’s fifth consecutive defeat. Lecce established control early in the first half. Gaspar opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a header from a Gallo corner, and N’Dri doubled the lead in the 33rd minute following a deflection from a Tiago Gabriel header. Siebert finalized the score in the 86th minute with a clinical strike. The performance has been described as one of the best under manager Eusebio Di Francesco, characterized by tactical efficiency and the offensive pressure applied by wingers N’dri and Fatah.

While Lecce players such as Goebbels and Fatah missed several opportunities to increase the lead, the visitors maintained control. Udinese’s defensive struggles led to significant criticism from home supporters, who expressed frustration through loud protests and whistling directed at both players and the coaching staff. Reports indicate these protests occurred in the Curva Nord.

For Udinese, the defeat represents a significant low point in the Kosta Runjaic era, leaving the team in the penultimate position of the standings. Despite tactical adjustments, including a 3-5-2 formation, the team struggled with intensity and defensive cohesion. Player Jurgen Ekkelenkamp acknowledged the team’s “collective errors” and the heavy atmosphere following the loss. While the defeat has fueled speculation regarding Runjaic’s future, he has expressed confidence in his ability to rectify the team’s direction. Lecce faces potential roster issues heading into their match against Juventus, as midfielder Lassana Coulibaly left the pitch with a suspected muscle injury; medical evaluations are pending to determine his availability.
