The 2026/27 UEFA Women’s Champions League league phase began with mixed results for Italian clubs. AS Roma drew 0-0 against Belgian side OH Leuven, a result impacted by player fatigue and a missed penalty by Pandini.

Inter Women secured a 1-0 victory in their debut match against Swedish club Häcken, with Bugeja scoring in the fifth minute. Following this win, the team was scheduled to face Austria Vienna in their second league phase match on October 1.

Juventus Women also earned their first three points in the league phase with a 3-0 away victory against BK Häcken at the Hisingen Arena in Gothenburg. After a scoreless first half, Tatiana Pinto scored in the 57th minute, followed by a header from Stølen Godø in the 77th minute and a final goal from Alba Redondo. This win follows a recent loss to Benfica for Juventus.
