Ciryl Gane is scheduled to defend his undisputed UFC heavyweight title against challenger Josh Hokit at UFC 334 on November 14 at Madison Square Garden. Gane assumed the championship after Tom Aspinall vacated the title due to eye injuries.

Gane’s coach, Fernand Lopez, has highlighted the multifaceted threat posed by Hokit, noting that the challenger combines striking, wrestling, and submissions rather than relying on a single discipline. Training efforts for Gane are reportedly focused on managing the transitions between Hokit’s striking and wrestling to maintain distance.

Former champion Alex Pereira has predicted a victory for Gane, suggesting that Hokit may struggle with fatigue during a five-round championship bout. Pereira, who is preparing for a fight against Sergei Pavlovich at UFC 335, indicated that a win over Pavlovich could lead to a title shot against the winner of the Gane-Hokit matchup.
