Former UFC champion Daniel Cormier has provided commentary on recent promotional dynamics and fighter strategies. Cormier addressed claims by Alex Pereira regarding the booking of a title fight between Ciryl Gane and Josh Hokit for UFC 334, noting he received no instructions to promote specific matchups. He also analyzed Nassourdine Imavov’s confrontation with Sean Strickland, suggesting Imavov is using personal tension to build audience interest.

Following these developments, former contender Darren Till criticized Cormier on The Ariel Helwani Show, accusing him of providing biased and inauthentic analysis. Till alleged that Cormier shows favoritism toward certain fighters and avoids controversial moments. Till also expressed frustration regarding boxing negotiations involving Jake Paul, characterizing a sudden shift in opponents for a scheduled match as a fraudulent move.
