At the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), the ANDES National Union has been addressing security concerns and internal organizational matters.

Following reports of attacks on student spaces, including the invasion of the Social Sciences Students Center (CECS) and the defacement of murals regarding democratic principles and harassment, union representatives met with the Federal Public Ministry (MPF). The union criticized the university rectorate for providing a statement that was “too generic,” and proposed reactivating a forum to combat hate speech and submitting evidence of property damage to the MPF.

Subsequently, the ANDES-SN union section at UFRGS conducted training sessions to facilitate debates among working groups. These discussions covered educational policy, affirmative action, and diversity policies, alongside social and environmental issues in the Guaíba region.
