The Ugandan High Court is presiding over several legal challenges following recent parliamentary elections.

In Masaka City, the dispute regarding the Woman MP seat involves National Unity Platform (NUP) candidate Rose Nalubowa contesting the victory of State Minister Justine Nameere. Following a recount that overturned an initial declaration, the court has allowed the admission of video evidence in the case, with further hearings scheduled for late September.

In other regions, the court has addressed various petitions. In Kalungu East, a challenge to the election of Yusuf Kiruluuta Nkeretanyi by former Defence Minister Vincent Bamulangaki Ssempijja was dismissed because it was filed outside the mandatory 30-day statutory period. Additionally, proceedings in Kayunga District regarding the Ntenjeru South seat were adjourned to allow the NUP candidate to mobilize witnesses for allegations of falsified results.
