The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has introduced several digital and service updates for Aadhaar holders. The authority launched digital options via the Aadhaar App, allowing users to update mobile numbers through face authentication for a fee of Rs 75. Alternatively, residents can visit an enrollment center to update mobile numbers for Rs 50. Requests for subsequent changes are not treated as standard updates and require more rigorous verification and substantial documentation, with a birth certificate being the most critical requirement. If an error was caused by an Aadhaar center operator, individuals must visit an enrollment center with evidence to prove the administrative error. For exceptional circumstances, an exception handling process is available at enrollment centers, as online updates for secondary changes are not supported.
