UK political polling has shown significant fluctuations between major parties. In late September, YouGov polling indicated that Reform UK had overtaken the Labour Party, reaching 25 per cent support against Labour’s 24 per cent. During this period, internal Labour Party sentiment remained positive regarding Prime Minister Andy Burnham, though two-thirds of members identified Reform UK as their “primary electoral threat”.

By mid-October, the Conservative Party, led by Kemi Badenoch, rose to 23 per cent following their annual conference, overtaking Reform UK, which fell to 21 per cent. The Labour Party also saw a decline, dropping to 24 per cent and leaving them one percentage point ahead of the Conservatives. In a subsequent YouGov poll conducted between October 18 and 19, the Labour Party saw an increase to 27 per cent. The Conservative Party remained at 23 per cent, while Reform UK rose slightly to 22 per cent, maintaining its position as the third-most popular party. This polling period coincided with various challenges for Reform UK, including investigations into allegations of racism and misogyny, donation-related inquiries, and a standards commissioner investigation into a £5 million gift provided to Nigel Farage by Christopher Harborne.
