Various sports and community facilities in the United Kingdom are undergoing significant redevelopment and upgrades to modernize equipment and improve accessibility.

In Brentwood, the Borough Council has approved a £25 million redevelopment of the Brentwood Centre. The project includes refurbishing the existing hub, installing three new all-weather 3G sports pitches, and enhancing landscaping and parking. The scheme aims to prioritize accessibility through step-free access and new facilities.

In York, the Burnholme Sports Centre is set to receive an upgraded, full-sized FIFA Quality 3G football pitch and improved changing facilities. This project is supported by a £709,000 grant from the Football Foundation, alongside funding from GLL and the City of York Council, to meet high local demand for high-quality playing surfaces.
