The Ukrainian Berries Association noted that a raspberry shortage within European Union markets increased demand for Ukrainian fruit. Retail raspberry prices reached between 200 and 280 UAH per kilogram, while processors paid up to 195 UAH per kilogram during seasonal peaks. Blueberry retail prices rose to a median of approximately 250 UAH per kilogram, and everbearing strawberries traded at a median of roughly 200 UAH per kilogram. These shortages were influenced by regional weather conditions. In Poland, spring frosts and unfavorable summer weather reduced raspberry and blueberry harvests, particularly for the Chandler variety, driving increased demand from processors for alternative origins like Ukraine. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-19: European fruit markets see shifting prices for pears, strawberries, and blueberries European fruit markets show mixed trends: strawberry and mango prices are declining in retail, while pear producers face competition and blueberry prices rise as promotions end. 4 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/european-fruit-markets-see-shifting-prices-for-pears-strawberries-and-blueberries ### 2026-10-08: Ukraine berry prices hit record levels amid supply shortages Ukrainian berry prices for raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries reached record levels in September due to declining supplies and increased demand from the EU following poor harvests in Poland. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/ukraine-berry-prices-hit-record-levels-amid-supply-shortages --- Cite as: Ukrainian berry market price and supply trends.
