The privatization process for the Uljanik shipyard in Pula has seen significant interest. Nine potential buyers reportedly purchased tender documentation for the state’s 97 percent stake, a level of interest described by the Center for Sale and Restructuring (CERP) as higher than a similar process held three years ago. 

Among the interested parties are companies from the maritime and shipbuilding sectors, including Dušan Šešok, owner of Iskra and the Šibenik shipyard. Uljanik Director Samir Hadžić noted that while the final outcome depends on the specific terms and offers submitted, it would be beneficial for the state to retain at least one shipyard under state ownership.
