Ulster Rugby has struggled to secure a victory in the United Rugby Championship. In their match against Munster at Kingspan Stadium, the team recovered from a 26-5 halftime deficit to secure a 26-26 draw. Despite the comeback, head coach Richie Murphy criticized the team’s discipline and accuracy, noting they were playing matches “like they’re training sessions”.

In a subsequent match against the Bulls at Loftus Versfeld, Ulster was defeated 34-26. Although Ulster mounted a second-half comeback following a yellow card to Marcell Coetzee, a crucial try by Johan Grobbelaar and a late penalty by Handré Pollard secured the win for the Bulls.
