The French television series ‘Un si grand soleil’ has maintained strong viewership on France 3, with new episodes averaging 2.18 million viewers and a 12.5% market share. While reruns have seen a slight decline in weekly figures compared to the previous year, the series continues to engage a significant audience.

In October 2026, the production introduced actress Juliette Chêne to the cast. She portrays Laurence, a character involved in a narrative arc centered on domestic control and psychological isolation. The storyline depicts Laurence living in a ‘golden prison,’ where she is prevented from working and isolated from her family by her husband. This new character arc is expected to intersect with the character Alex as the plot progresses.
