The UNCAF FIFA Forward Sub-16 tournament took place in El Salvador, hosted at the Estadio Nacional Las Delicias.

El Salvador's U-16 national team advanced to the final after finishing at the top of Group A. The team remained undefeated during the group stage, securing two wins and one draw. A 2-1 victory against Honduras, highlighted by a late goal from Isaac Kofi Twumasi, enabled El Salvador to progress via goal difference over Guatemala.

Panama secured its position in the final as the leader of Group B. Panama finished the group stage undefeated with five points, following a draw against Nicaragua, a win over Puerto Rico, and a 1-1 draw against Costa Rica. However, Panama entered the championship match without its top scorer, Jorshua Gómez, who was suspended due to yellow card accumulation.
