The Unia Leszno speedway club concluded its season in fourth place following a decline in performance during the play-offs. Sports director Rafał Dobrowolski cited several factors for the team’s late-season struggles, including health issues involving Janusz Kołodziej and the announcement that rider Grzegorz Zengota would be leaving the club.

Zengota confirmed his departure after unsuccessful contract negotiations with club president Józef Dworakowski, who opted to sign Bartłomiej Kowalski instead. Zengota, who attributed a late-season decline in his performance to the emotional weight of his impending exit and feeling unwelcome, is set to join Stelmet Falubaz Zielona Góra next season.

Additionally, rider Piotr Pawlicki took personal responsibility for the team’s failure to secure a medal, noting that his own form declined during the second half of the season.
