Sources: 9. Developments: 2. Unión San Felipe has faced various sporting and logistical difficulties in the Chilean Primera B championship. Initially, the club dealt with scheduling issues due to a lack of artificial lighting at the Municipal de San Felipe stadium, prompting requests to the ANFP to reschedule matches to utilize natural light. As the season progressed, club owner Raúl Delgado expressed embarrassment over the team’s performance, noting that the club has spent three consecutive years fighting to avoid relegation. Delgado attributed these struggles to financial constraints—including costs for women’s football and youth football—as well as what he described as a lack of respect from certain players. Furthermore, Delgado raised concerns regarding potential delays to the Primera B promotion playoffs, citing ongoing disciplinary complaints involving several other clubs and urging the ANFP’s Disciplinary Tribunal to act quickly to prevent further uncertainty. ## Timeline ### 2026-09-28: Unión San Felipe owner expresses concern over club performance and playoff delays Unión San Felipe owner Raúl Delgado expressed embarrassment over the club's poor performance and warned that legal disputes within the ANFP could delay the Primera B promotion playoffs. 4 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/unin-san-felipe-owner-expresses-concern-over-club-performance-and-playoff-delays ### 2026-09-03: Unión San Felipe faces scheduling and performance challenges Unión San Felipe faces a difficult match against Magallanes and is seeking to reschedule a fixture against San Luis de Quillota due to a lack of artificial lighting at their home stadium. 8 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/unin-san-felipe-faces-scheduling-and-performance-challenges --- Cite as: Unión San Felipe sporting and logistical challenges.
