The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has initiated a series of internal nomination and election processes in Kenya. Initially, the party established specific nomination dates for the Migwani Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) seat in Kitui County, requiring aspirants to register and pay fees through an online portal.

Following these localized procedures, the party announced a broader, staggered schedule for ward-level grassroots elections across ten counties, including Samburu, Tana River, Vihiga, Nakuru, Marsabit, Isiolo, Meru, Embu, Tharaka Nithi, and Bomet. The party reported significant growth in candidate participation, with the pool increasing to over 500,000. The election framework involves members electing 20-person committees to form an electoral college for selecting ward congress officials.
